Norfolk Hericanes U18 HL Team Shines at Orillia Winterfest Tournament!
What an incredible journey for our Hericanes! We kicked off the tournament with a perfect round-robin performance, going undefeated and showcasing true teamwork and grit. Our stellar goalie, Dy Dy Winnie, was a wall with 5 shutout games, leading us through the quarter and semi-finals with confidence!
The finals saw us face a formidable Tamiskaming team in a hard-fought battle. Although we came up just short, the girls showed determination, dedication, and resilience - pushing through illness, injury, and fatigue. You’ve made Norfolk proud!
Our team truly made a mark this tournament, with coaches and players from Peterborough, Central York, Orillia, and Tamiskaming all asking, "Where are you guys from?"
While the gold eluded us, let's wear that Silver medal with pride
